2026-01-27fit: Rework SPL_LOAD_FIT_ADDRESS slightlyTom Rini
Options which deal with memory locations and have a default value of 0x0 are dangerous, as that is often not a valid memory location. Rework SPL_LOAD_FIT_ADDRESS as follows: - Add SPL_HAS_LOAD_FIT_ADDRESS to guard prompting the question as the case of loading a FIT image does not strictly require setting an address and allows for a malloc()'d area to be used. - For SPL_RAM_SUPPORT, select the new guard symbol if SPL_LOAD_FIT is enabled because in that case an address must be provided. - Update defconfigs for these new changes. Largely this means some defconfigs need to enable SPL_HAS_LOAD_FIT_ADDRESS to maintain their current status. In the case of sandbox, we also need to set SPL_LOAD_FIT_ADDRESS to 0x0. 2024-11-27configs: enable CONFIG_PCI_REGION_MULTI_ENTRY=y in sifive_unmatched_defconfigYuri Zaporozhets
Currently, the PCI subsystem selects the small "region 2" (which starts at 0x7000000) as bus_addr/phys_addr. As a consequence, the BAR0 on PCIe video card cannot be initialized, because it simply doesn't fit into 0x1000000 bytes size of "region 2". U-Boot should use "region 1" instead (the one which starts at 0x60090000), because it has much bigger size (0xFF70000), and easily accomodates BAR0 of the video card. With the move from script based booting to using bootmeth a lot of environment variables have changed. To always use the default environment it is recommendable to erase the environment stored in the SPI flash. This can be done with the 'env erase' sub-command. The Unmatched board is typically booted from NVMe which requires PCI. When dropping to a console PCI is not initialized yet. 'pci enum' has to be called. - Make all users of CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR reference SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR - Introduce HAS_CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to allow for setting the stack pointer directly, otherwise we use the common calculation. - On some platforms that were using the standard calculation but did not set CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE / CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_ADDR, set them. - On a small number of platforms that were not subtracting GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE do so now via the standard calculation. - CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_OFFSET is now widely unused, so remove it from most board config header files. 2022-02-10nvme: Split out PCI supportMark Kettenis
Apple SoCs have an integrated NVMe controller that isn't connected over a PCIe bus. In preparation for adding support for this NVMe controller, split out the PCI support into its own file. This file is selected through a new CONFIG_NVME_PCI Kconfig option, so do a wholesale replacement of CONFIG_NVME with CONFIG_NVME_PCI. 2021-09-02lib: add crc16.o if CONFIG_MMC_SPI_CRC_ON for SPL buildAndreas Schwab
CONFIG_MMC_SPI_CRC_ON needs the crc16 functions, but it was not included in an SPL build. For non-SPL builds, crc16.o is already added unconditionally. This also removes CONFIG_SPL_YMODEM_SUPPORT from the sifive board configs, which is only relevant for some ARM boards and was only set for its side effect of adding crc16.o.
