The DRM may want to register a notifier on the typec bus to know when
a typec altmode device is added, and distinguish between different
types of typec altmode device.
Export these things.

The port and plug altmodes can't be bound to the altmode
drivers because the altmode drivers are meant for partner
communication using the VDM (vendor defined messages), but
they can still be part of the bus. The bus will make sure
that the normal bus notifications are available also with
the port altmodes.
The previously used common device type for all alternate
modes is replaced with separate dedicated device types for
port, plug, and partner alternate modes.

typec_match() takes a const pointer, and then decides to cast it away
into a non-const one, which is not a good thing to do overall. Fix this
up by properly setting the pointers to be const to preserve that
attribute.

Mode in struct typec_altmode is used to indicate the index of the
altmode on a port, partner or plug. It is used in enter mode VDMs but
doesn't make much sense for matching against altmode drivers or for
matching partner to port altmodes.

In the match() callback, the struct device_driver * should not be
changed, so change the function callback to be a const *. This is one
step of many towards making the driver core safe to have struct
device_driver in read-only memory.
Because the match() callback is in all busses, all busses are modified
to handle this properly. This does entail switching some container_of()
calls to container_of_const() to properly handle the constant *.
For some busses, like PCI and USB and HV, the const * is cast away in
the match callback as those busses do want to modify those structures at
this point in time (they have a local lock in the driver structure.)
That will have to be changed in the future if they wish to have their
struct device * in read-only-memory.

Add typec_cable_ops struct for enter, exit, and vdm. The struct is added
to typec_altmode so port alt modes can have access to partner and cable
specific callbacks, and alt mode drivers can specify operations over SOP'
and SOP'' without modifying the existing API.
typec_port_register_cable_ops is added as a new symbol for port drivers
to use to register cable operations to their registered port alt modes.

Some usb hubs will negotiate DisplayPort Alt mode with the device
but will then negotiate a data role swap after entering the alt
mode. The data role swap causes the device to unregister all alt
modes, however the usb hub will still send Attention messages
even after failing to reregister the Alt Mode. type_altmode_attention
currently does not verify whether or not a device's altmode partner
exists, which results in a NULL pointer error when dereferencing
the typec_altmode and typec_altmode_ops belonging to the altmode
partner.
Verify the presence of a device's altmode partner before sending
the Attention message to the Alt Mode driver.

move all of the USB subsystem struct bus_type structures as const,
placing them into read-only memory which can not be modified at runtime.

"Here is the large set of driver core changes for 6.3-rc1.
There's a lot of changes this development cycle, most of the work
falls into two different categories:
- fw_devlink fixes and updates. This has gone through numerous review
cycles and lots of review and testing by lots of different devices.
Hopefully all should be good now, and Saravana will be keeping a
watch for any potential regression on odd embedded systems.
- driver core changes to work to make struct bus_type able to be
moved into read-only memory (i.e. const) The recent work with Rust
has pointed out a number of areas in the driver core where we are
passing around and working with structures that really do not have
to be dynamic at all, and they should be able to be read-only
making things safer overall. This is the contuation of that work
(started last release with kobject changes) in moving struct
bus_type to be constant. We didn't quite make it for this release,
but the remaining patches will be finished up for the release after
this one, but the groundwork has been laid for this effort.
Other than that we have in here:
- debugfs memory leak fixes in some subsystems
- error path cleanups and fixes for some never-able-to-be-hit
codepaths.
- cacheinfo rework and fixes
- Other tiny fixes, full details are in the shortlog
All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
problems"

The uevent() callback in struct bus_type should not be modifying the
device that is passed into it, so mark it as a const * and propagate the
function signature changes out into all relevant subsystems that use
this callback.

Since ports can have retimers associated with them, update the Type-C
alternate mode bus code to also set retimer state when the switch state
is updated.
While we are here, make the typec_retimer_dev_type declaration in the
retimer.h file as extern, so that the header file can be successfully
included in the bus code without redeclaration compilation errors.

Add a wrapper that calls the set() function for various switches
associated with a port altmode.
Right now, it just wraps the existing typec_mux_set() command,
but it can be expanded to include other switches in future patches.
No functional changes introduced by this patch.

typec_altmode_exit checks if ops->enter is not NULL but then calls
ops->exit a few lines below. Fix that and check for the function
pointer it's about to call instead.

Rather than directly exposing the implementation's representation of the
typec muxes to the controller/clients, introduce an indirection object.
This enables the introduction of turning this relationship into a
one-to-many in the following patch.

The driver core ignores the return value of this callback because there
is only little it can do when a device disappears.
This is the final bit of a long lasting cleanup quest where several
buses were converted to also return void from their remove callback.
Additionally some resource leaks were fixed that were caused by drivers
returning an error code in the expectation that the driver won't go
away.
With struct bus_type::remove returning void it's prevented that newly
implemented buses return an ignored error code and so don't anticipate
wrong expectations for driver authors.

Before this commit, typec_altmode_get_partner would return a
const struct typec_altmode * pointing to address 0x08 when
to_altmode(adev)->partner was NULL.
Add a check for to_altmode(adev)->partner being NULL to fix this.

Using the generic notification chain is not reasonable with
the alternate modes because it would require dependencies
between the drivers of the components that need the
notifications, and the typec drivers.
There are no users for the alternate mode notifications, so
removing the chain and the API for it completely.

Passing all the details that the alternate mode drivers
provide to the mux drivers during mode changes.
The mux drivers will in practice need to be able to make
decisions on their own. It is not enough that they get only
the requested port state. With the Thunderbolt 3 alternate
mode for example the mux driver will need to consider also
the capabilities of the cable before configuring the mux.

Originally the port drivers were expected to check does the
connector have the mode enabled or disabled when the alt
mode drivers attempted to enter the mode, but since
typec_altmode_enter() puts the connector into USB Safe
State before calling the port driver, it really has to do
the check on its own, and before changing the state.
Otherwise the connector may be left in USB Safe State if the
port driver does not move it back to normal USB operation
when the mode is disabled.

Pointer adev is being dereferenced before it is being sanity
checked with a null pointer check, hence it is possible for
a null pointer dereference to occur. Fix this by dereferencing
adev only once it is null checked.
