2025-10-24ice: move ice_init_interrupt_scheme() prior ice_init_pf()Przemek Kitszel
Move ice_init_interrupt_scheme() prior ice_init_pf(). To enable the move ice_set_pf_caps() was moved out from ice_init_pf() to the caller (ice_init_dev()), and placed prior to the irq scheme init. The move makes deinit order of ice_deinit_dev() and failure-path of ice_init_pf() match (at least in terms of not calling ice_clear_interrupt_scheme() and ice_deinit_pf() in opposite ways). The new order aligns with findings made by Jakub Buchocki in the commit 24b454bc354a ("ice: Fix ice module unload"). Refactor the detach logic to support platform-specific implementations via the dcfg->ops->detach callback. Allow finer control over detach behavior depending on the remote processor management method, and make it easier to add detach support for new SoCs. The previous hardcoded SCU API detach logic is now moved into a dedicated imx_rproc_scu_api_detach() function, and registered via the plat ops structure. The generic imx_rproc_detach() now delegates to the platform-specific handler if available. Also, the dcfg->method check with IMX_RPROC_SCU_API is removed. No functional changes. 2025-10-24wifi: ath12k: restore register window after global resetBaochen Qiang
Hardware target implements an address space larger than that PCI BAR can map. In order to be able to access the whole target address space, the BAR space is split into 4 segments, of which the last 3, called windows, can be dynamically mapped to the desired area. This is achieved by updating WINDOW_REG_ADDRESS register with appropriate window value. Currently each time when accessing a register that beyond WINDOW_START, host calculates the window value and caches it after window update, this way next time when accessing a register falling in the same window, host knows that the window is already good hence no additional update needed. However this mechanism breaks after global reset is triggered in ath12k_pci_soc_global_reset(), because with global reset hardware resets WINDOW_REG_ADDRESS register hence the window is not properly mapped any more. Current host does nothing about this, as a result a subsequent register access may not work as expected if it falls in a window same as before. Although there is no obvious issue seen now, better to fix it to avoid future problem. The fix is done by restoring the window register after global reset. 2025-10-24wifi: ath12k: add support for BSS color changeWei Zhang
Add support for handling BSS color collision events reported by firmware. There are two scenarios where a BSS color collision may be detected: 1. The AP's MAC detects the collision directly, and firmware reports a BSS color collision event to the host. 2. A STA associated with the AP detects the collision. The notification frame from the peer is routed directly to the AP firmware, which handles it and sends the BSS color collision event to the host. Add logic to parse and handle such events, and pass the data up to mac80211. Unlike CSA, firmware does not provide an offload mechanism for BSS color change. Instead, the color change process is triggered via beacon offload TX completion events sent by firmware. BSS color feature is enabled depending on service flag advertised by firmware, based on which color change functionality is invoked. This change builds upon the following ath11k patch. commit 886433a98425 ("ath11k: add support for BSS color change") Tested-on: WCN7850 hw2.0 PCI WLAN.IOE_HMT.1.1-00011-QCAHMTSWPL_V1.0_V2.0_SILICONZ-1 Signed-off-by: Wei Zhang <wei.zhang@oss.qualcomm.com> Reviewed-by: Vasanthakumar Thiagarajan <vasanthakumar.thiagarajan@oss.qualcomm.com> Reviewed-by: Baochen Qiang <baochen.qiang@oss.qualcomm.com> Link: https://patch.msgid.link/20251017060100.1751692-1-wei.zhang@oss.qualcomm.com Signed-off-by: Jeff Johnson <jeff.johnson@oss.qualcomm.com>
2025-10-24Bluetooth: fix corruption in h4_recv_buf() after cleanupCalvin Owens
A different structure is stored in drvdata for the drivers which used that duplicate function, but h4_recv_buf() assumes drvdata is always an hci_uart structure. Consequently, alignment and padding are now randomly corrupted for btmtkuart, btnxpuart, and bpa10x in h4_recv_buf(), causing erratic breakage. Fix this by making the hci_uart structure the explicit argument to h4_recv_buf(). Every caller already has a reference to hci_uart, and already obtains the hci_hdev reference through it, so this actually eliminates a redundant pointer indirection for all existing callers. 2025-10-24Bluetooth: btintel_pcie: Fix event packet loss issueKiran K
In the current btintel_pcie driver implementation, when an interrupt is received, the driver checks for the alive cause before the TX/RX cause. Handling the alive cause involves resetting the TX/RX queue indices. This flow works correctly when the causes are mutually exclusive. However, if both cause bits are set simultaneously, the alive cause resets the queue indices, resulting in an event packet drop and a command timeout. To fix this issue, the driver is modified to handle all other causes before checking for the alive cause. 2025-10-24Bluetooth: btmtksdio: Add pmctrl handling for BT closed state during resetChris Lu
This patch adds logic to handle power management control when the Bluetooth function is closed during the SDIO reset sequence. Specifically, if BT is closed before reset, the driver enables the SDIO function and sets driver pmctrl. After reset, if BT remains closed, the driver sets firmware pmctrl and disables the SDIO function. These changes ensure proper power management and device state consistency across the reset flow. 2025-10-24usb: dwc3: Allow usb role swich control from userspacePritam Manohar Sutar
There is a possibility of user needs for USB mode switching on boards that lack external hardware support for dynamic host/device role detection. This is particularly relevant in automotive applications where userspace applications need to switch USB roles (host to device) at runtime for CarPlay/Android Auto integration. Add an `allow_userspace_control` flag to handle such cases. When enabled, it exposes a sysfs attribute that allows userspace to switch the USB role manually between host and device. This provides flexibility for platforms that cannot rely on hardware-based mode detection. 2025-10-24ACPI: fan: Workaround for 64-bit firmware bugArmin Wolf
Some firmware implementations use the "Ones" ASL opcode to produce an integer with all bits set in order to indicate missing speed or power readings. This however only works when using 32-bit integers, as the ACPI spec requires a 32-bit integer (0xFFFFFFFF) to be returned for missing speed/power readings. With 64-bit integers the "Ones" opcode produces a 64-bit integer with all bits set, violating the ACPI spec regarding the placeholder value for missing readings. Work around such buggy firmware implementation by also checking for 64-bit integers with all bits set when reading _FST. 2025-10-24ACPI: fan: Use platform device for devres-related actionsArmin Wolf
Device-managed resources are cleaned up when the driver unbinds from the underlying device. In our case this is the platform device as this driver is a platform driver. Registering device-managed resources on the associated ACPI device will thus result in a resource leak when this driver unbinds. Ensure that any device-managed resources are only registered on the platform device to ensure that they are cleaned up during removal. 2025-10-24drm/client: Do not free client memory by defaultThomas Zimmermann
Make no assumption on the allocation of the client's memory. For example, amdgpu stores a client within another data structures, where it cannot be freed by itself. 2025-10-24drm/log: Do not hold lock across drm_client_release()Thomas Zimmermann
When calling drm_client_release(), the client is already quiescent. Internal locks should therefore be dropped before the caller releases the client. In the case of the DRM log, concurrency originates from the console or from client events. The console has been unregistered in the previous line. The caller of the unregister callback, drm_log_client_unregister(), holds clientlist_mutex from struct drm_device to protect against concurrent client events. It is therefore safe to release the client without holding locks. 2025-10-24drm/client: Add client free callback to unprepare fb_helperThomas Zimmermann
Add free callback to struct drm_client_funcs. Invoke function to free the client memory as part of the release process. Implement free for fbdev emulation. Fbdev emulation allocates and prepares client memory in drm_fbdev_client_setup(). The release happens in fb_destroy from struct fb_ops. Multiple implementations of this callback exist in the various drivers that provide an fbdev implementation. Each of them needs to follow the implementation details of the fbdev setup code. Adding a free callback for the client puts the unprepare and release of the fbdev client in a single place.
