2025-10-30arm64: dts: ti: k3-j784s4: Fix I2C pinmux pull configurationAniket Limaye
The I2C pins for some of the instances on J784S4/J742S2/AM69 are configured as PIN_INPUT_PULLUP while these pins are open-drain type and do not support internal pull-ups [0][1][2]. The pullup configuration bits in the corresponding padconfig registers are reserved and any writes to them have no effect and readback checks on those bits fail. Update the pinmux settings to use PIN_INPUT instead of PIN_INPUT_PULLUP to reflect the correct hardware behaviour. [0]: https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/tda4ah-q1 (J784S4 Datasheet: Table 5-1. 2025-10-30arm64: dts: ti: k3-j722s-main: fix the audio refclk sourceMichael Walle
At the moment the clock parent of the audio extclk output is PLL1_HSDIV6 of the main domain. This very clock output is also used among various IP cores, for example for the USB1 LPM clock. The audio extclock being an external clock output with a variable frequency, it is likely that a user of this clock will try to set it's frequency to a different value, i.e. an audio codec. Because that clock output is used also for other IP cores, bad things will happen. Instead of using PLL1_HSDIV6 use the PLL2_HSDIV8 as a sane default, as this output is exclusively used among other audio peripherals. 2025-10-30slab: use new API for remaining command line parametersPetr Tesarik
Use core_param() and __core_param_cb() instead of __setup() or __setup_param() to improve syntax checking and error messages. Replace get_option() with kstrtouint(), because: * the latter accepts a pointer to const char, * these parameters should not accept ranges, * error value can be passed directly to parser. There is one more change apart from the parsing of numeric parameters: slab_strict_numa parameter name must match exactly. There will likely be more info that we need to store in struct pidfs_attr. We need to make sure that some of the information such as exit info or coredump info that consists of multiple bits is either available completely or not at all, but never partially. Currently we use a pointer that we assign to. That doesn't scale. We can't waste a pointer for each mulit-part information struct we want to expose. Use a bitmask instead. 2025-10-30pidfd: add a new supported_mask fieldChristian Brauner
Some of the future fields in struct pidfd_info can be optional. If the kernel has nothing to emit in that field, then it doesn't set the flag in the reply. This presents a problem: There is currently no way to know what mask flags the kernel supports since one can't always count on them being in the reply. Add a new PIDFD_INFO_SUPPORTED_MASK flag and field that the kernel can set in the reply. Userspace can use this to determine if the fields it requires from the kernel are supported. This also gives us a way to deprecate fields in the future, if that should become necessary. When PIDFD_INFO_COREDUMP is requested we raise it unconditionally in the returned mask even if no coredump actually did take place. We started seeing "[drm] *ERROR* Timed out waiting PSR idle state" after taking optimized guardband into use. These are seen because VSC SDPs are sent on same line as AS SDPs when AS SDP is enabled. AS SDP is sent on line configured in EMP_AS_SDP_TL register. We are configuring crtc_state->vrr.vsync_start into that register. Fix this by ensuring AS SDP is sent on line which is within guardband. 2025-10-30Merge branch 'net-smc-make-wr-buffer-count-configurable'Paolo Abeni
Halil Pasic says: ==================== net/smc: make wr buffer count configurable The current value of SMC_WR_BUF_CNT is 16 which leads to heavy contention on the wr_tx_wait workqueue of the SMC-R linkgroup and its spinlock when many connections are competing for the work request buffers. Currently up to 256 connections per linkgroup are supported. To make things worse when finally a buffer becomes available and smc_wr_tx_put_slot() signals the linkgroup's wr_tx_wait wq, because WQ_FLAG_EXCLUSIVE is not used all the waiters get woken up, most of the time a single one can proceed, and the rest is contending on the spinlock of the wq to go to sleep again. Addressing this by simply bumping SMC_WR_BUF_CNT to 256 was deemed risky, because the large-ish physically continuous allocation could fail and lead to TCP fall-backs. For reference see this discussion thread on "[PATCH net-next] net/smc: increase SMC_WR_BUF_CNT" (in archive https://lists.openwall.net/netdev/2024/11/05/186), which concludes with the agreement to try to come up with something smarter, which is what this series aims for. Additionally if for some reason it is known that heavy contention is not to be expected going with something like 256 work request buffers is wasteful. To address these concerns make the number of work requests configurable, and introduce a back-off logic with handles -ENOMEM form smc_wr_alloc_link_mem() gracefully. v5: https://lore.kernel.org/netdev/20250929000001.1752206-1-pasic@linux.ibm.com/ v4: https://lore.kernel.org/netdev/20250927232144.3478161-1-pasic@linux.ibm.com/ v3: https://lore.kernel.org/netdev/20250921214440.325325-1-pasic@linux.ibm.com/ v2: https://lore.kernel.org/netdev/20250908220150.3329433-1-pasic@linux.ibm.com/ v1: https://lore.kernel.org/all/20250904211254.1057445-1-pasic@linux.ibm.com/ ==================== Link: https://patch.msgid.link/20251027224856.2970019-1-pasic@linux.ibm.com Signed-off-by: Paolo Abeni <pabeni@redhat.com>
2025-10-30net/smc: handle -ENOMEM from smc_wr_alloc_link_mem gracefullyHalil Pasic
Currently if a -ENOMEM from smc_wr_alloc_link_mem() is handled by giving up and going the way of a TCP fallback. This was reasonable before the sizes of the allocations there were compile time constants and reasonably small. But now those are actually configurable. So instead of giving up, keep retrying with half of the requested size unless we dip below the old static sizes -- then give up! In terms of numbers that means we give up when it is certain that we at best would end up allocating less than 16 send WR buffers or less than 48 recv WR buffers. This is to avoid regressions due to having fewer buffers compared the static values of the past. Please note that SMC-R is supposed to be an optimisation over TCP, and falling back to TCP is superior to establishing an SMC connection that is going to perform worse. If the memory allocation fails (and we propagate -ENOMEM), we fall back to TCP. Preserve (modulo truncation) the ratio of send/recv WR buffer counts. 2025-10-30net/smc: make wr buffer count configurableHalil Pasic
Think SMC_WR_BUF_CNT_SEND := SMC_WR_BUF_CNT used in send context and SMC_WR_BUF_CNT_RECV := 3 * SMC_WR_BUF_CNT used in recv context. Those get replaced with lgr->max_send_wr and lgr->max_recv_wr respective. Please note that although with the default sysctl values qp_attr.cap.max_send_wr == qp_attr.cap.max_recv_wr is maintained but can not be assumed to be generally true any more. I see no downside to that, but my confidence level is rather modest. Undocumented historical artifact inherited from ip_conntrack. If value is 0, then no limit is applied at all, conntrack table can grow to huge value, only limited by size of conntrack hashes and the kernel-internal upper limit on the hash chain lengths. This feature makes no sense; users can just set conntrack_max=2147483647 (INT_MAX). Disallow a 0 value. This will make it slightly easier to allow per-netns constraints for this value in a future patch. Signed-off-by: Florian Westphal <fw@strlen.de>

2025-10-30ASoC: max98090/91: fixing the stream indexSharique Mohammad
The function SND_SOC_DAPM_AIF_OUT has its third parameter as stream index. The stream index is numbered from 0 to 3 for every output interface widget but with same stream name "HiFi Capture". So, if the stream name is same, the stream index cannot be different. Also for capture, there is only one stream "HiFi Capture", so only one stream index. Therefore, with this patch changed the stream index to 0 for all the output interface widgets with stream name "HiFi Capture".
